In the heart of the village
250 metres to the centre, with the cathedral rising right above the house. A café and a traditional inn are 100 to 200 metres away.

Four apartments and rooms in a stone house around four hundred years old, right below the cathedral. Thick walls, Mediterranean light and a garden where time slows down.

Our family has fully renovated Casa Di Pietra – with the aim of preserving the fabric of the house rather than covering it up.
The natural stone walls, old vaults and timber beams were allowed to stay. The architect gave them a Mediterranean character: lemon tiles, brass, reclaimed wood and plenty of light. Our whole family has put its heart into this house.
Behind the thick walls it stays pleasantly cool even on hot summer days – something guests tell us again and again.

Among tall grasses, lavender and vines there are tables and chairs for your morning coffee and long evenings. From here you look out over the rooftops of Maria Saal.

Maria Saal sits on a hill above the Zollfeld plain – historically one of the most important places in the region. The cathedral with its Roman reliefs stands right above the house, and the Carinthian Open-Air Museum is within walking distance.
Klagenfurt is ten minutes away, Lake Wörthersee a quarter of an hour.

With us you talk to your hosts rather than a booking portal – and we can cater for wishes that no form has a box for.
